The venue Mediencampus Villa Ida of the Media Foundation of Sparkasse Leipzig, situated in Leipzig-Gohlis, is the seat of all three foundations of Sparkasse Leipzig as well as of Leipzig School of Media (LSoM), European Institute for Journalism and Communcation Research (EIJK) and of the European Centre for Press and Media Freedom (ECPMF).
The modern building at Poetenweg was opened in 2006 and makes an attractive architectural contrast to Villa Ida located opposite at the same venue. The three-part ensemble consists of a conference building with the Schillersaal and seminar rooms, an apartment house with restaurant and a conservatory/patio area. Conference organisers and participants as well as speakers and lecturers appreciate first class conditions, like technical equipment and experienced technical support by the staff.
Mediencampus Villa Ida was designed according to a modular system, that means both large rooms in the ground floor (Schillersaal) and two of the three seminar rooms are separated by mobile walls that can be easily removed in order to be more flexible and get more space when needed. All rooms have modern light-, audio- and presentation equipment. There are cameras in the large room for live streaming and video conferences. All organisers of conferences and seminars get organisational and technical support by a competent team.

Hygiene and infection safety measures
The large rooms in the basement have got a ventilation system that is also an additional means for controlling the aerosol load. The system functioning by fresh air supply has got the following parameters:
- performance of incoming and outgoing air: 8500 m³/h at a spatial volume of 1,125 m³
- sevenfold exchange of complete air per hour
Three mobile CO2 measurement devices control and record the aerosol load in the rooms. Additionally, cross ventilation is possible by opening doors to the terrace and entrance doors in all rooms of the venue.
Optimal protection of all guests is provided by using the ventilation system, following the distance rule and wearing a protective mask.
We give maximum support to all organisers of events for implementing valid hygiene and infection measures of protection. Organisers decide upon using the "2-G" or "3-G" rule.
