If you are coming from the south with the A9 Motorway, the best way is to follow the Leipzig West Exit. In contrast, if you are coming from the north, take the turn at Schkeuditzer Kreuz (Schkeuditz Intersection) onto the A14 Motorway in the direction of Dresden and follow the Leipzig Mitte (Leipzig City Centre) Exit. Anyone coming from the German cities of Dresden or Halle on the A14 Motorway should also exit at the Leipzig City Centre Exit. Accessibility
All halls offer wheelchair spaces, which are accessible via passenger elevators. In addition, special toilets are available for guests with limited mobility and wheelchair users.
the website is largely set up for people who are limited in vision skills.
The Great Hall and the Mendelssohn Hall are equipped with an inductive hearing system. The induction loop enables you to receive acoustic signals without interference when using a suitable hearing aid. For this, it is necessary that your hearing aid has a so-called telecoil ("T-coil").vailable for guests with limited mobility and wheelchair users.
Of course, the staff of the visitor service are always available to help with orientation in the Gewandhaus. Guests who wish to attend a concert alone and are dependent on the accompaniment of a guide dog simply indicate this when purchasing tickets. We will be happy to inform you about suitable seats.
