Auerbachs Keller
Auerbachs Keller is one of Leipzig’s best-known establishments. From banquets for 400 people in the “Großer Keller” or for 160 guests in the historic wine bars, to extravagant drinks in the Mephisto Bar, event organisers can offer their guests virtually anything here. Gastronomically, Auerbachs Keller boasts a unique combination of home-style Saxon cuisine and gourmet delights.
In addition to the “Fasskeller ceremony”, groups of different sizes can book a number of other performances. In addition, you will find what is probably Germany’s most famous guest room in Auerbachs Keller: the Fasskeller, or Barrel Cellar, known from Johann Wolfgang von Goethe’s “Faust”. Visiting in 2025 promises to be a particularly special highlight, as this is when the establishment will celebrate its 500th anniversary.
Bayerischer Bahnhof tavern and gose brewery
Gose – a traditional, top-fermented wheat beer – is a true Leipzig speciality and something of a secret ‘national drink’ of the people of Leipzig.
If you want to give your participants an authentic taste of the city, you should recommend a visit to Bayerischer Bahnhof or plan one in advance. The tavern has its own brewery and offers varied, seasonal cuisine with a focus on Saxon and Bavarian dishes. With space for up to 400 guests and an impressive beer garden, this establishment is suitable for events of different sizes.
Felix Restaurant and Restaurant 7010
Recommendation #3 includes not one, but two first-class restaurants. Both offer unrivalled views over Augustusplatz in the heart of the city. The Felix Restaurant with its adjoining roof terrace will impress guests with its exclusive wine cellar and its show kitchen. Restaurant 7010 is the place to be for culinary delights.
Both restaurants belong to the Felix Suites. These offer event organisers flexible room modules for different meeting formats, as well as multi-award-winning apartments with fully equipped kitchenettes.
Panorama Tower – Plate of Art
Panorama Tower – Plate of Art is the highest restaurant in central Germany. At a height of 120 metres, you can not only offer your participants great cuisine in one of four themed restaurant areas – Cape Town, New York, Tokyo and St. Petersburg – but also impress them with the best views of the city.
The roof terrace is the perfect place to welcome your guests with a glass of sparkling wine. You can also hire a range of equipment for indoor events.
Offering a photo box or slot car racing is an excellent way to get your participants interacting and entertained.
Ratskeller Leipzig
Thanks to its location inside the New Town Hall, Ratskeller Leipzig is one of the city’s most traditional and prestigious venues.
In addition to the Great Cellar (Großer Keller), which can accommodate banquets for up to 200 guests, event organisers can hire six other stylish rooms. This means that the restaurant can accommodate up to 700 guests, making it ideal for events large and small.
Home-brewed beer is served with fine, home-style Saxon dishes.
Highlights include a tour of the town hall tower and casemates, a knights’ dinner and a CookMahl, where guests prepare their own fresh ingredients at a tabletop cooking station.
