Looking for a conference venue with a difference? Then you’ll find it in Leipzig: the Saxon city has plenty of venues with roof terraces.
They not only offer unique views of the city, but a collective atmosphere and a sense of exclusivity. This will ensure your event is remembered fondly by all your delegates – and provides the perfect backdrop for great photos.

We present venues in Leipzig that not only offer perfectly equipped meeting and conference rooms, but also views of beautiful Leipzig from above.

tagungslounge

A modern venue with a roof terrace on a historic site

The tagungslounge inside the Katharinum building is a unique venue for your event in Leipzig city centre. Inaugurated in 2010, the Katharinum is a real eye-catcher: none of the four façades is the same, as several architects were involved in the design. Yet the building shines in perfect harmony.

Covering an area of 340 m², the tagungslounge venue can accommodate up to 150 guests in two modern and well-equipped conference rooms: the large 115 m² meeting room can accommodate up to 100 people, while the smaller 45 m² room can accommodate up to 30 people.

The conference technology and presentation screens are fully integrated into the rooms, allowing them to be used exactly as required.

The tagungslounge team will help you organise your event and work with professional service providers for catering, special hybrid, lighting and sound technology, and decoration.

The roof terrace on the fifth floor covers 75 m² and offers impressive views not only of Leipzig’s historic market square, but also over the city’s rooftops. In addition to relaxing breaks, you can reflect on your event in Leipzig over a drink and bring the day to a proper close.

The location of this special conference venue is of particular historical significance: until the Second World War, this was the site of the Zimmermannsches Kaffeehaus, where the famous composer Johann Sebastian Bach was a regular visitor during his time in Leipzig in the mid-18th century, and even played in public with his Collegium Musicum from 1729 to 1743.

Lancaster University Leipzig

180° panoramic roof terrace

Lancaster University Leipzig is a campus of the renowned Lancaster University and the first British university campus in Germany.
In addition to the growing number of students and Leipzig’s attractiveness as a tourist destination, the main reasons for the choice of location were the regional links between science and business and the city’s strong growth in recent years.

The university has strong links with local partners, making it well connected both locally and internationally. The Leipzig campus has been authorised by the Saxon State Ministry of Science, Culture and Tourism and offers study opportunities for German, EU and international students.

The university has conference rooms of various sizes on the first, sixth and seventh floors of the Strohsack Passage building in Leipzig’s historic city centre.

Tailored conference solutions in face-to-face or hybrid formats are possible at this venue. The rooms at Lancaster University Leipzig are all fully accessible, have flexible seating arrangements and are equipped with the latest AV technology. In the largest room, the Open Space, up to 200 people can get together and network.

The highlight of the building is the south-facing roof terrace on the seventh floor. Featuring attractive planting, it offers a breathtaking 180° view over the rooftops of Leipzig. The roof terrace with its unique view of Leipzig Opera and St Nicholas’ Church can be booked individually for receptions, after-work events, team events or concerts.
